The RDI Network is committed to facilitating and supporting the effective and ethical practice of research and evaluation by academics and practitioners working in the field. We seek to build the capacity of the international development sector in Australia and beyond through the provision of resources, case studies, training and tools for the use of you and your organisation or institution.

Promoting effective and ethical research has been integral to the objectives of the RDI Network since 2012, and continues to be a core focus activity in our current program of work.

On this page, you will find:

  • The Principles and Guidelines for Ethical Research and Evaluation in Development.
  • Case studies demonstrating learnings from real-world examples of research and evaluation.
  • Basic self-training tools including an online practice Starter Kit.
  • Opportunities to undertake further learning and training in the practice of effective and ethical research and evaluation.
