RDI Network is pleased to announce the launch of our Strategic Plan for impactful development research in the Indo-Pacific region.
Dr. Matthew French, interim RDI Board Chair, said that a commitment to equity, inclusion, and amplifying Global South voices is central to the updated strategy. In launching the plan Dr French said “this strategic plan represents a major milestone for RDI Network—our first as an independent, non-profit organisation. It sets a bold agenda for development research that is equitable, locally-driven, and focused on impact. We look forward to engaging with our network to bring it to life.”

The RDI Network Strategic plan emphasises collaboration, knowledge exchange, and locally-led development, with the aim of addressing urgent global challenges through innovative research and practice. Key commitments made in the plan include:

This strategic plan is intended to be a dynamic framework that evolves over time. We recognise the importance of continuous learning, adaptation, and collaboration in achieving our goals. We emphasise that this is a work in progress, and we highly value the input of our Community of Practice.
In the coming years, we welcome your feedback, insights, and participation. Together, we can refine and strengthen our approach to ensure our research has a meaningful impact in the Indo-Pacific region.
