Science and Practice of Sustainable DevelopmentThe University of Queensland (UQ) and the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) have co-developed an exciting new MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) entitled: The Science and Practice of Sustainable Development.

The 12 week course is delivered online and free to participate in (with option to pay $150 for a certificate upon completion). It is aimed at professionals or students with experience in practice, research or policy of sustainable development globally. Core content delivery will be presented by Prof. Jeffrey Sachs, with targeted inputs also from University of Queensland researchers in the field.

You will be introduced to the origin and key concepts of sustainability and how to apply those to sustainable development practice.

Sustainable development will be explored through theories and case studies from a range of disciplines. This course will aprovide key content knowledge to bridge the science and the practice of the application and enhancement of sustainable development.

This MOOC is one of four from UQx that – together – comprise the ‘micromasters’ of Leadership in Global Development.
