The RDI Network was pleased to collaborate with the UNSW Institute for Global Development (IGD) to co-host the official ACFID Conference 2018 opening reception on Monday 29 October. We welcomed over 60 conference delegates and RDI Network members, enjoying drinks and nibbbles whilst making new connections and sharing work priorities and potential synergies.
We heard brief presentations from Thomas Soem, representing the RDI Network, Dr Sarah Cook, Director of the UNSW IGD, and Bridi Rice, presenting on behalf of ACFID. This offered a helpful backdrop of academic-practice cooperation, informing a vision for cross-sector action towards the conference’s theme of Human Rights in the 21st Century.
Thank you to all who attended and made it such a great evening! We look forward to continuing to host our city-based networking events in 2019.
