The 2021 Humanitarian Leadership Conference is an important event that centres around the question: Who Are the Humanitarians?
This is where the real people (not normally seen in humanitarian crisis); the affected communities, local organisations, business community and their national governments are spotlighted as the ‘humanitarians’. The event will bring together participants to explore a genuinely transformed humanitarian system can look like – based on economic, environmental and political justice for affected communities.
The conference will work to determine where change is needed and determine actions required in re-shaping the humanitarian ecosystem. This conference will be about challenging traditional humanitarian systems, actors, and perceptions through sub-themes of the humanitarian ecosystem, leadership in a world of upheaval and crisis, and transformative ways of working and the political economy of aid and solidarity.
This is an immersive event with two days of panels, workshops and presentations to inspire new dialogue and systemic change.
The conference is also seeking submissions – lodge your application to to deliver an oral abstract, poster presentation, interactive panel discussions and learning labs across the conference themes.
