The Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning (ABP) of The University of Melbourne, the Connected Cities Lab and partners Business Council for Sustainable Development Australia and Banksia Foundation present the inaugural Sustainable Development Goals, Climate Change and Cities Symposium, 30 September – 2 October 2020.
Focused on the SDGs, the inaugural symposium offers participants and delegates, to listen and engage with some of the world’s leading voices in urban sustainability and action on climate change, including case studies of responses to the COVID-19 pandemic. Featuring interactive workshop sessions, breakout rooms, and a number of keynotes and panelist experts in urban design architecture, sustainability and innovation.
The Symposium will cover two themes, Climate Change and Urban Planning and a dedicated stream to engage and learn from partner Cities participating in the SDGs Cities Challenge. The SDGs Cities Challenge is a collaborative project contributing to the implementation of key urban SDG targets and indicators, through new participatory action research.
