The Pacific Urban Forum is an inclusive multi-stakeholder platform for policy dialogue towards a sustainable urban future for the Pacific region. Following the adoption of the New Urban Agenda and a renewed recognition of the many opportunities and challenges for the Pacific, PUF5 aims to develop action plans, provide recommendations for urbanization strategies and elicit voluntary commitments from different stakeholders in order to successfully anchor and implement the Pacific New Urban Agenda. Moreover, the forum strengthens the exchange and dialogue within the Pacific among various urban stakeholders such as policy makers from national and local governments, non governmental and community-based organizations, relevant development partners, academia, private sector, professionals and individuals.
